A HISTORY OF STEEL

People has been using iron and steel from thousands of year. The earliest know production of Steel dated back to 4000 years ago.

Before that Steel was made by heating iron ore with charcoal in furnace, but overtime advancement of technology and techniques led to development of different types of Steel .

The first modern Steel manufacturing plant in India during the British rule was at kutli burnpur (1870) after that Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited, TISCO was established in 1907.

Steel  making has played a crucial role in development of ancient time.

Steel industry is the basic industry since all the other industry depend on it for there machinery.

Cast iron was first made in ancient china beginning around 500 BC. Around 400 BC Indian metalworkers invented a smelting method that happened to bond the perfect amount of carbon.

We can observe certain historical  monuments there was a significant moment when wrought iron/ironware steel replaced by mild steel as a preferred material. Manufacturer, builders , constructor suddenly shifted to steel whenever they want to construct anything. because wrought iron/ ironware steel did not have the strenght of steel which was needed.

in the iron age craft and discovered that adding small amount of carbon to iron produce a strong and more durable

In the 19th century a significant invention in the steel industry known as the bessemer process. it is more efficient and affordable.

How industry is envoiving an adapting to meet modern challenges?

The steel industry is constantly involving and adapting to meet modern challenges. It all about staying ahead of game and embracing new technology and practices. Steel industry is adapting by focusing on advanced manufacturing techniques. This only not improve productivity but also reduce cost and quality. Additionally the steel industry is investing in research and development to create new and improved steel alloy. The steel industry is adapting to meet the challenges posed by the changing market demand customer preferences and requirements are constantly evolving and steel manufacturer are striving to meet this demands by offering customised solution and flexible production capability.                                                                                         Overall the steel industry is evolving and adapting by embracing sustainable practices implementing advanced manufacturing techniques investing in research and development integrating digital technology and meet changing market demands.

a future of steel

future significance of steel

Today steel is the most important engineering and construction material in the world. Steel production is a major golbal industry  producing approximately 1,875.5 milllion metric tons. it is used in all expect of human life. like automobile, construction products, refrigerator , washing machine,  cargo ship,  surgical sculp and a host of other tools and material

will it always be essential? Is there future for Steel?

When we hear the word Steel A million things pop up in our mind from coils to automobiles and buildings it present in every expect of human life. It present in every expect of human life.

Adding small amount of carbon to iron produce a strong and more durable material despite the passage of time due to this unique and versatile property the use of Steel will continue to be essential in numerous application with the help of innovation. Proof of this is “Automobile Industry”.

We’ve seen the introduction of Electric cars , Hybrid vehicles, And even self driving cars in recent years. The evolution of cars has truly been a remarkable journey.

Steel industry is also involved in the use of Steel emerging technology such as artificial intelligence robotics and industry 4.0 , since this area continue there development and require long lasting tenacious and cost effective component.                                                                                                                               on the other hand , no need to mention that steel is 100% recyclable.
